44 North Main St.Georgia is a "no-fault" and "fault" divorce state. This means that people can divorce based upon the fact that their marriage is "irretrievably broken" or on any one of the recognized grounds
for a divorce including adultery, abandonment, cruel treatment, and habitual intoxication, to name a few. There is no specific formula for dividing the marital assets, but fault may be one factor considered in determining how to fairly divide the assets and debts of a marriage.
